BIOGRAPHY
Ya'at'eeh (hello),
Based on indigenous soil of the Navajo Nation, Hell Throne reigns chaos with an original style of thrash and death metal. The significance of reservation upbringing along with the involvement of the Rez Metal scene heavily influences aggressive riffs, heavy vocals, and fast drums. Rez metal is viewed as a lifestyle in the underground phenomenon, which inspires the raw aspect of the song writing process and the passion of stage presence.
Founded in 2021, Hell Throne was based in Phoenix, Arizona, by the vocalist and guitarist, Dave Kirk. While Dave was seeking additional members, a drummer named Rowe Bitsilly responded to an advertisement in July of 2021. The vocalist and band artist, Dexter Dale, joined in April 2023, after being featured in the single, "King of Death." Loren Anthony was featured as a guest performer at the Navajo Nation Metal Fest Dįį’ and he joined in December of 2023. The band met Ernest Capono at a local show & months later, he joined in March of 2024.
With the empowerment of indigenous grass roots and the rez metal community, Hell Throne uses their platform to spread awareness about hardships on the reservation. The Navajo Nation faces obstacles such as: community infrastructure, alcoholism, missing and murdered indigenous people, and the lack of mental health resources etc. As indigenous people, we are often overlooked, music is a powerful source to communicate.
“United through Metal” was developed by the Hell Throne team to spread awareness and raise funds for MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women), MMIW-USA, and MMDR (Missing and Murdered Diné Relatives). Two shows were held on May 19th($500-raised) in Crownpoint, NM and on November 11th in Gallup, NM ($1,000-raised). Hell Throne debuted their song, “We are Here” to advocate for violence against indigenous people, such as chanting, “return our sisters!”
Hell Throne will continue to raise awareness for hardships on the reservation while playing heavy thrash and death metal in the underground phenomenon, known as the Rez Metal community. Hell Throne loves and appreciates each of their supporters, thank you for joining the journey! One last comment, WE ARE HERE!
Ahéheé (thank you)
